When you start to form little waves in the cream (it will take about 2 or 3 minutes), it is time to add the spoonful of sugar you have reserved for the cream and continue beating until the whipped cream (because what you are preparing is nothing more than whipped cream) is very consistent.
TIP: whipped cream will look better if the instruments you use are very, very cold. You can put the container and the blades of the mixer in the fridge or freezer a little earlier so that they are very cold.
