Bosch VeroAroma

Name: VeroAroma
Brand: Bosch
Type: Espresso
Operation: Automatic
Capacity: 1.7 litres

The Bosch VeroAroma is a super-automatic coffee machine that is one step above the famous Bosch VeroCafe. It is one of these machines focused on the One Touch preparation (that is, by pressing a single button, the whole drink is prepared without the user having to intervene at all) both in normal coffees and in mixed drinks: cappuccinos, stained milk, etc.

The main distinguishing feature of this Bosch VeroAroma is precisely that second surname: “Aroma“. In espresso jargon, you know that aroma does not only refer to the sense of smell, but rather to the sense of taste, and in particular, to the intensity and nuances of the coffee’s flavour.

This is why the Bosch VeroAroma implements an AromaPro Concept, which basically consists of a pre-infusion of freshly ground coffee beans to extract as much flavour as possible from them. In addition, the Aroma Double Shot function allows us to enjoy an espresso of double intensity. As you can see… everything revolves around the aroma!

The automatic Bosch VeroAroma offers us a great ceramic grinder (not made of steel), a wide variety of automatic cleaning and decalcification programmes (Milk Clean, Single Portion Cleaning), the usual options for personalising the drinks (intensity, size, temperature, fineness of the grinding) and a unique intelligent heating system that ensures we always enjoy the coffee at a stable and perfect temperature (you know, around 93º at the time of extraction).

In all its features, the Bosch VeroAroma makes it clear that it is an automatic high-end espresso.

Bosch VeroAroma: Flavour and intensity in your espresso

There are two versions of this coffee machine on the market: the Bosch VeroAroma 300 and the Bosch VeroAroma 700. The latter is, of course, more advanced. To give you a reference, the VeroAroma 300 is usually the Bosch TES 60351 model, while the VeroAroma 700 corresponds to the TES 60759.

The functional and appearance differences between the two are minimal, even though the latter is of more recent manufacture. We will tell you about them quickly:

  • The VeroAroma 700 works with a 19 bar pressure pump (for 15 bar of the VeroAroma 300).
  • The VeroAroma 700’s drip tray has a sensor that indicates when it is convenient to empty it.
  • The VeroAroma 700 has a small light that illuminates the cups during coffee extraction.

A glance at the VeroAroma’s control panel reveals the clarity of all the buttons despite a large amount of information it provides. This is due to the fact that most of the buttons are provided with explanatory text as a legend instead of the typical drawing or icon, which is not always intuitive.

In the following image, we can see this in more detail:

As you can see, two elements stand out in the control panel. On the one hand, the informative digital display – indispensable in automatic coffee machines of this range – takes up all the central space. On this screen, you can read the different selections and configurations that you are making.

And secondly, the upper button panel that groups together all the One Touch selections (or automatic drink preparation). From left to right, we find the buttons for preparing espressos, normal coffee, cappuccino, coffee with milk or latte-stained milk-.

Below, on both sides of the digital display, are the selection buttons for the various options and secondary settings of the coffee machine. Customize the coffee (intensity, size, temperature), activate cleaning programmes, or manage the menu options on the screen.

Advantages of the Bosch Veroaroma

  • It allows us to prepare up to six different drinks automatically at the touch of a button. In addition, each one of them is perfectly indicated as they have a legend (text) instead of a drawing or explanatory icon.
  • The multiple automatic cleaning and rinsing programmes for the entire coffee machine and its internal pipes. The maintenance of this Bosch VeroAroma is a breeze.
  • The control panel. It looks old-fashioned but is super practical and very clear. No drawings or unnecessary lights: just buttons and text. The buttons are also more than acceptable in size.
  • The Aroma Double Shot option is a gift for lovers of stronger coffees or double doses. It is not something you find in every automatic coffee machine.
  • The grinder has ceramic grinding wheels. Much more resistant and less exposed to overheating than steel ones.

Disadvantages of the Bosch Veroaroma

  • It’s a very, very large coffee machine, and it weighs its own.
  • It is not suitable for all pockets. There are also very high-end One Touch coffee makers but they are slightly more affordable.

Why buy a Bosch Veroaroma?

This is one of the top automatic espresso machines on the market, and the top of the range from the Bosch firm, so to begin with, this machine is reserved for those who are prepared to invest close to one thousand pounds in enjoying such a marvel in their home.

Once this is done, the Bosch VeroAroma will be enjoyed above all by those users who want to prepare any coffee (but especially cappuccinos and lattes) automatically. All you have to do is press a button and wait.

The quality of the espressos is, of course, excellent. You can check it out in any of the videos we have included in this analysis.

In the chapter on alternatives, the Melitta Caffeo Passione (with a smaller capacity), the Jura Impressa A5 or Saeco’s Exprelia Evo offer similar features to our protagonist today.

You can also take a look at the Bosch VeroCafe Latte, which is just one step below the VeroAroma but may be more than enough for many users.
