New manufacturers of compatible coffee pods with the most popular machines (Nespresso and Dolce Gusto) appear every day. This fact positively impacts the coffee consumer, as these new pods are becoming cheaper and of higher quality.
Consuelo Coffee is a relatively young brand in the coffee capsule market, although they have been selling coffee beans for much longer. However, the history of Consuelo Coffee is linked to another Italian brand called Coind Group.
Coind is the company responsible for the coffee, while Consuelo Coffee is only a marketer of this coffee. Therefore, in order to understand the experience and quality of Consuelo compatible capsules, the history of Coind must be kept in mind.
Coind (Café Consuelo) has been blending and roasting its own coffee for over 60 years, giving the Consuelo brand a wealth of experience in the coffee bean industry. Also, thanks to Coind, Consuelo entered the compatible capsule sector in an efficient way.
On this page, we will talk in-depth about the different types of Consuelo coffee pods (coffee roasted and packaged in Italy), but we can already tell you that they cost around £0.25 per unit.
Consuelo capsules for Nespresso
Users of Nespresso coffee machines will find five speciality coffees. These are:
- Classico: The traditional version of espresso coffee, medium roast and made from a blend of Arabica and Robusta beans. Intensity 8 out of 12.
- Intenso: Here, we move on to dark roasting, and the intensity rises to 10 out of 12. The percentage of robusta beans used in the blend also increases.
- Forte: Dark roast for the strongest comfort coffee, composed mostly of Robusta beans. Maximum intensity of 12.
- Supremo: 100% Arabica beans, with slight spicy touches and medium roast. Intensity 8.
- Decaffeinato: the caffeine-free version of Consuelo coffees comes with a medium roast and intensity of 7.
As you can see, a fairly standard range of options. Apart from these five essential varieties, Nespresso users can also enjoy the premium series of Consuelo Temptation capsules with organic coffee varieties (Brazil, Ethiopia and Colombia). These are also available in beans for espresso machines.
Buy here Consuelo coffee capsules for Nespresso. They are available in two types of packages: the normal ten coffee pods and the large with 50 units.
Consuelo coffee capsules for Dolce Gusto
The Consuelo capsule varieties for Dolce Gusto are the same five we have detailed above for the Nespresso coffee machines, plus some additional ones specific to this format, such as the café au lait, the cortado, cioccolato and the cappuccino.
In this case, the range of Consuelo Dolce Gusto coffee capsules is wider. Still, unfortunately, the Premium Consuelo Temptation, Ethiopia, Brazil, and Colombia varieties are not available for Dolce Gusto coffee machines.
The cases keep the format of the official brand, with packs of 16 capsules, but have the advantage that the Consuelo cappuccino capsules are made with only one single dose. In comparison, in the official format, you need two pods (one of coffee and one of milk), and therefore you only get eight drinks per box.
